play near my town

May 4, 2004

It’s been awhile huh?

According to Claire at Amoeba Records we are #2 in sales for indie releases for the week thanks to their 1/4 page ad in this weeks LA Weekly. Check it out. Arthur looks like a total jackass in the photo. Ahhhhhhh.

Ball-up alert: While our 51 Buckingham show in Pomona last Friday was fun, I think attendance was slightly hampered by the fact some upstart band called the Pixies played a secret show next door exactly as we were playing. I would have called in sick for that bitch.

Peeps are writing to us and asking if we are ever going to “play near my town” well, if enough people ask I figure It would be worth it. Keep it coming.

We just got out of the studio recording our version of Wire’s “Outdoor Miner” for a comp featuring Lush, Flying Saucer Attack, Adam Franklin, and a bunch of other heads. We went back to “the ship” and Aaron from Earlimart manned the controls once again. Julio Burgers, Fish burritos and games of Rich Man Poor Man were going off. The comp should be out soon.

Laterz,

TMP
